The mountains of East Tennessee provide a multitude of small stream opportunities for wild trout and native brook trout. These streams are often remote, largely untouched and require a special set of tactics to approach successfully. Our small stream clinic is designed to provide you with the necessary skill set to enjoy these backcountry beauties on your own.

Properly landing and handling trout.
Close quarters casting (Steeple cast, roll cast, bow & arrow, etc.)

Euro nymphing is a very effective style of nymphing which has increased in popularity over the last decade. This technique, which is often referred to locally as tight-lining, is highly suited for our swift mountain streams and is one of the most consistently productive tactics for trout year round. Our euro nymphing clinic will cover the basics of what separates this technique from other forms of nymphing and the best gear, tackle and fly selection for this specialized style of fishing.
